SOFTIMAGE|XSI Transition (#540)
NT Platform, 3 Day Course

This course will enable the Softimage|3D-knowledgeable animator to make the transition to Softimage|xsi. It not only explains Xsi’s improved approach on features existing in Softimage|3D, but it covers new revolutionary functions such as the non-linear animation tool and the render tree.
Prerequisite: This course is designed for students who have practical experience with Softimage|3D or another production-level 3D animation application.

Softimage | XSI Introduction (#201)
NT Platform, 5 Day Course

This class provides an overview of Softimage|XSI as a complete animation package. The course focuses on the fundamental tools for creating animations and is presented in the form of short tutorials led by a certified instructor. Students will explore all of Softimage|XSI modules in exercises that reflect a real production process.
Prerequisite: No prerequisites are required for this class. Students should have some 2D and/or 3D computer art experience and have solid basic computer skills.

Softimage | XSI Character Animation (#301)
NT Platform, 5 Day Course

This intensive course covers the advanced character animation functionality in Softimage|XSI. Concepts covered are Forward and Inverse Kinematics, rigging, walk cycles, muscular deformations, expressions and other automatic character controls.
Prerequisite: Students must have completed the Softimage | XSI tutorials. It is strongly recommended that students have several months of practical experience using Softimage|XSI and an understanding of the fundamentals of character animation. Completion of the Softimage|XSI Introduction or Transition course is also recommended, but not required.

Softimage ®|XSI Special Topics
NT Platform, 2, 3 or 4 Day Course

This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced student who wants to explore Softimage|XSI functionality in more depth than is offered in XSI Essentials and Transition, but more broadly than in any of the specialized classes. Students will spend one day exploring each major aspect of Softimage|XSI. Lessons cover various approaches to advanced Designs and Modeling, Shading and Rendering, advanced Dynamics principles, (including particle animation and expressions), and writing Scripts to automate tasks.
Prerequisite: Students must have completed the Softimage|XSI tutorials. It is strongly recommended that students have several months of practical experience using Softimage|XSI. Completion of the Softimage|XSI Introduction or Transition course is also recommended, but not required.
