LORD ST. JOHN OF BLETSO JOINS BELL TECHNOLOGY GROUP LTD. BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
NEW YORK, NY, Oct. 23, 1997 – Bell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:
BELT, BELTW) today announced that Lord St. John of Bletso, who
has 16 years of combined financial and legal experience in the development
of emerging international markets, has joined its Board of Directors.
This brings the Bell Technology Group Board to six members.
Lord St. John is a prominent member of the House of Lords of Parliament of
the United Kingdom. He serves on the European Union Select Committee A on Trade,
Finance and Foreign Affairs. He is also a consultant to Merrill Lynch and a registered
representative of the London Stock Exchange.

Previously, Lord St. John was responsible for brokering UK and European equities
to the Far East at Smith New Court. He also consulted to companies in emerging
markets on investor relations and corporate finance issues. During his tenure
he also became Chairman of Eurotrust International, a financial services company
specializing in the incorporation of offshore companies and asset protection trusts.
Prior to that, he served as an oil analyst for Fielding, Newson and Smith (now
Netwest Markets) and as legal advisor and internal auditor to Shell Oil’s South
African division.
Lord St. John graduated from Cape Town University with a Bachelor of Science
in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Law. In 1981, he was admitted as a lawyer
and soon after received his Masters in Law from London University. His affiliations
include: Trustee of SAN Foundation, Tusk and Television Trust for the Environment,
Chairman of Governing Board of Certification International and Vice Chairman of
All Party Parliamentary South Africa Group.
