Globix Expands European Network

Globix Corporation (NASDAQ: GBIX) today announced that the upgradeof its pan-European backbone network to STM-16 (2.5Gbps) is complete and fully operational.Globix will operate the 2,600-km (1,625-mile), upgradeable, multi-conduit fiber-optic ring through along-term Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) agreement from a world-class provider of networkservices.
This high-capacity fiber-optic ring links Globix network Points of Presence (POPs) and GlobixInternet Data Centers in London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris. It also connects to network POPsin other major cities in Europe, including Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva, Madrid, Milan, Stockholmand Vienna, via high-capacity leased lines.
