The design took the industry by storm and ever since, BCBG Max Azria has continued to redefine fashion with chic, practical designs that are popular with celebrities but are affordable to those lacking six-figure salaries. The designer’s high-profile roster boasts such clientele as Madonna, Uma Thurman and Sharon Stone, and his collection is regularly featured on top television shows, including Friends and Melrose Place.
BCBG Max Azria selected Globix to host and co-produce the Internet broadcast of its Spring ’99 fashion show because of the Globix Corporation’s expertise and capacity for providing cutting edge, creative solutions for Web events. The broadcast, which will make the show widely accessible, is in line with designer, Max Azria’s business philosophy; fashion should be available to more than the select elite. Max Azria said, ‘Because fashion shows are reserved for the press and fashion elite, our consumer has been unable to take part in the unveiling of my collections. Now, because of Globix Corporation’s streaming expertise, we are able to include them in the excitement of witnessing fashion in the making.’
The dearaddy productions company complements the streaming expertise at Globix with its own expertise producing and promoting fashion, music and lifestyle events. The dearaddy company promotes these events through live net broadcasts and public relations. Adriana Kaegi, dearaddy’s owner, developed a number of contacts in fashion and music as the singer who co-founded the legendary combo Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Her work has been widely praised and just as enthusiastically received. She has performed for Lady Diana, the United Nations, President Bush and on U2’s War album. Her work has also appeared on popular TV shows and movies, such as ‘Against all Odds.’
Marc H. Bell, President and CEO of Globix Corporation said, ‘We’re pleased to be hosting and co-producing the broadcast for BCBG Max Azria’s fashion show with dearaddy.
