Globix Announces $5 Million In New Contracts
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, November 16, 1998 – Globix Corporation
(NASDAQ: GBIX),a leading Internet Service Provider, is pleased
to announce that the Company has signed new Internet contracts in
excess of $5 million since September 1, 1998. The new business contracts,
which have an average life of at least two years, represent a range
of Globix Corporation’s Internet services, including Dedicated
Access, Co-location and Web-hosting. The growth in new business reflects
the Company’s strategy of offering one-stop solutions and enhancing
existing services with new, state-of-the-art facilities in New York,
London and San Francisco.
The new Globix building in New York comprises nine floors
and 160,000 square feet that includes office space and a SuperPOP
data center dedicated to providing state-of-art Internet solutions.
The London Globix facility is situated in the heart of the
London’s commercial center and will offer 33,500 square feet of space
for offices and for a SuperPOP data center which will provide fully
redundant, high-capacity solutions. The new Globix San Francisco
building is in the heart of Silicon Valley. The 61,000 square foot
facility includes a SuperPOP data center, offices, classrooms and
seminar space.
The new San Francisco, London and New York Data Centers will be fully operational during the first quarter of 1999. As previously announced, Globix recently entered into a long-term
agreement with Qwest Macro Capacity Fiber Network. The contract gives

its Data Centers and route its Internet and data traffic much faster.
Upon completion, the fiber-based network will expand Globix
Corporation’s services to reach more customers across the
United States and, via a transatlantic connection, in Europe.
