NEW YORK – July 22, 1999

Globix Corporation (NASDAQ: GBIX) today announced that it has joined with Intel, RealNetworks and Compaq, sponsors of the Digital Club Festival www.digitalclubfest.com to help bring concert-goers and music lovers an online destination to watch and listen to the world’s largest online music event.

The Digital Club Festival, which takes place July 20-23 and features more than 300 bands performing throughout 20 Manhattan nightspots, has chosen Globix to provide high-speed Internet access to the venues. Globix will also provide co-location for the www.digitalclubfest.com Web site, as well as the connectivity to the site and the re-casting of the video streams using Real G2 software from RealNetworks.
