Globix Announces Major U.S. and Transatlantic Network Upgrades

NEW YORK – April 27, 2000

As part of its recently announced network expansion plans, Globix Corporation (NASDAQ: GBIX), a leader in advanced Internet data center services,high-speed access, and streaming media solutions for businesses, today announced that it has purchased additional network capacity from multiple vendors.

Globix has acquired a 2.5Gbps optical wavelength and multiple STM-1 transatlantic circuits that give the Globix network capacity in excess of 14Gbps. The network will extend to eight cities: London, New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.

‘This agreement provides Globix bandwidth capacity for U.S. and transatlantic market expansion that includes construction of new SuperPOP Internet Data Centers in Los Angeles, Seattle and Boston, as well as additional facilities in New York, Santa Clara and London,’ said Marc H.
