Globix Named One of New York’s Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte & Touche ‘Fast 50’ Program

NEW YORK – September 26, 2000

Globix Corporation (NASDAQ: GBIX), a leader in advancedInternet Data Center services, high-speed Internet access, and streaming media solutions forbusiness, has been named one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the New Yorkregion. Rankings are issued by Deloitte & Touche under its ‘Fast 50’ Program and are based on thepercentage growth in revenues from 1995 to 1999 (a five-year period).

Globix CEO, Marc H. Bell, credits the company’s decision to move to the higher-profit Internet sectorfrom the value-added computer services business, as well as the rapid market adoption of Internettechnology, for the company’s 287 percent revenue growth over the past five years.

‘We knew there would be growth in the Internet sector, which is the reason we invested in theinfrastructure to power it, but the tremendously fast spread of broadband has fueled demand for ourservices and propelled our growth by leaps and bounds,’ Bell said. ‘We are honored to be listed inthe Fast 50 for a second year in a row.’

The 287 percent increase in Globix revenues from 1995 to 1999 resulted in Globix ranking 41stoverall in the New York region Fast 50.

To qualify, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1995 and$1,000,000 in 1999, be headquartered in New York and be ‘technology companies’ – defined ascompanies that produce technology, manufacture a technology product or devote a high percentageof effort to research and development of technology.

Winners of the 21 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in theDeloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation’s top 500 fastest-growingtechnology companies.
