Acceptable Use Policy The Globix Acceptable Use Policy (Policy) is designed to help protect Globix, Globix Clients and the Internet community in general from irresponsible, inappropriate or, in some cases, illegal activities. It is the Client’s responsibility to check the Globix Web page for updates or modifications of the Acceptable Use Policy. Bandwidth Statistics Reporting Globix uses data collected from each client’s network handoff (i.e. port) that serves clients to analyze trends, calculate billing, and to display actual traffic over client’s handoff. From this data, Globix provides reports on TSWeb. Border Gateway Protocol Policy Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) enables a client to connect to more than one Internet Service Provider (ISP) for redundancy or load balancing services. The protocol functions by allowing networks to exchange routing information among themselves. Thus networks with more than one interconnect point select the "best" path for network traffic, as determined by the BGP route-selection algorithm. Border Gateway Protocol Form Email Notification of Service Requests Policy Whenever a Service Request status is changed, i.e., initiated, resolved, or closed, by Globix or the client, the Globix Support Management System will automatically generate email notifications to clients. This EMail Notification System furthers timely communication between Globix and its clients with regard to support issues. Available Facilities and Amenities Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation Policy Globix Internet Data Centers are protected against fire and smoke emergencies by an FM200 Fire- Suppression System. FM200 is a non-toxic dry gas that will instantly put out a fire, without harming the electrically powered equipment. It is very important that you leave the data center IMMEDIATELY if you hear a fire IDC House Rules In addition to all building, local, state and international codes, Globix clients and their representatives are bound by the following rules and regulations regarding the use of any Globix Internet Data Center. Network Maintenance Policy In order for Globix to maintain its network, it is necessary for us to perform periodic maintenance to both the hardware and software of our network. This maintenance work will be performed during a floating time frame. Physical Access Policy Clients that need access to Globix facilities, as stipulated in their contracts, will be issued two unique access badges for two distinct personnel or client representatives. Preparation and Installation of Client Equipment Policy Property Removal Policy For security reasons, Globix must approve all requests to remove equipment from Globix facilities. Security System Policies The three components of the Globix facility security program are a comprehensive state-of-the-art access-control system, trained security personnel and closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV). The Globix security system is a distributed-control system with central monitoring located in the Security Dispatch Center. The use of such a system prevents tampering at any given point in the system without at least one other system being aware of the tamper. Support Request Tracking Policy The Globix Support Management System tracks Support Requests initiated by either Globix or its clients. When Globix monitoring services note a service issue, Globix will initiate a Support Request on a client’s behalf. Clients may initiate a Support Request themselves in three ways: 1) via e-mail ([email protected]), 2) via the Technical Support Client Extranet (https://tsweb.globix.net), or 3) over the phone (877)-2GLOBIX. Website Privacy Policy CODE OF BUSINESS CONDUCT AND ETHICS The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Globix Corporation (“Company”) has adopted a Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (“Code”) for officers, directors and employees of the Company. This Code is intended to focus the Board and each director, officer and employee on areas of ethical risk, provide guidance to such persons to help them recognize and deal with ethical issues, provide mechanisms to report unethical conduct and help foster a culture of honesty and accountability. Each director, officer and employee must comply with the letter and spirit of this Code. |
